A warm welcome to “Shot of Inspiration!”  My name is Sharon.  This blog is dedicated to sharing stories, ideas and tips to inspire and support you.  I’m not a therapist, I’m simply a regular person who hopes to live the best life I can, leave this world a tiny bit better than when I found it, and also have fun along the way.

When inspiration strikes, I’m happy and directed, and can often effect positive changes in my life as well as changes in the communities I’m part of.  When inspiration strikes, I become a leader to myself, and sometimes, to others around me.

I am, or have been, a business owner, journalist, writer, political consultant, television producer and a public relations professional who have serviced a diverse clientele from Fortune 500 companies to Silicon Valley startups to Asian organizations, to non-profits and individuals.  I am a woman, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, friend, confidant, mentor, mentee.  I am also a cancer survivor and a recovering workalcoholic.

My life has been and continues to be an amazing journey, one made richer by “shots of inspiration” – stories, ideas, people, books and tips – that have supported me throughout.  With this blog, I hope to share some of these shots of inspiration, and look forward to hearing your stories and comments.  And, may this blog serve as a “pick-me-up,” a mini re-charging zone for you, as we now journey together to make this world just a tiny bit better than how we found it!

    My dear friend

You’ll always be an inspiration to me. I’m really glad that you took the brave step to go back to the roots of your passion, even though it seemed scary at the time.

I’ve been following your blog, and have been meaning to drop you a line, but as they say, work got in the way. And I think all too often I say I’ll get to it and don’t.

So today I decided I *will* drop you a note after reading your blog to say that you’re being thought of and I hope everything’s well with you. Your poem “Simply Time for Me” is so true, and hopefully I will remember that, even as the next couple of months are already looking insane.

    take care my dear

How wonderful to hear from you! I really appreciate your kind words and encouragement. Indeed, these past few months have been an amazing transition to more creativity and more time for self, family and friends.
I miss you and think of you often. Sorry to hear that work continues to be too busy. Take time for yourself, and do at least one thing for yourself, everyday. (I’ll be waiting to hear your stories!) 😉
    Keep in touch!

    Hi Sharon,
I was moved by the movie Invictus. After researching the poem I was touched by a number of lines in the poem.
I am in a rush at the moment , maybe I can get back and write more later.
I am retired now but I would have liked to have the poem in my coaching days.
